The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) is committed to organizing overseas youths to observe and learn activities in Taiwan in order to enhance overseas youths' understanding of Taiwan, and to promote exchanges between young people at home and abroad. Every year, more than 1,000 overseas young people come to Taiwan to experience Taiwanese culture and learn Mandarin. This year, the "2022 Overseas Youth Taiwan Study Tour Group (Malaysia Group)" hosted by OCAC has more than one hundred fifty overseas young people in Malaysia, who come to Taiwan to experience a twenty-one-day Taiwanese cultural tour. The event will be held from December 11th to December 31st. Through political and economic construction visits, industrial visits, campus and youth exchanges, humanistic education exploration, multicultural experience, tourist attraction visits, ecological environment exploration, local life exploration, group dynamic games or competitions, students can deeply understand Taiwanese culture.
The twenty-one-day trip to get to know Taiwan around the island includes the places such as the Palace Museum, the Presidential Palace visit, the in-depth exploration of Taipei city, the Golden Mountain City, Jiufen Old Street Tour, Keelung Miaokou Night Market, Humanities Reading Tour: the past and present of Jiaobanshan , Taichung Opera House, tour around the Sun Moon Lake, Puli Guangxing Paper House, Checheng Wood Industry Exhibition Hall, Xitou Natural Education Park, Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Zone, Liudui Hakka Cultural Park, Kenting Scenic Area, Tiehua Village Music Settlement Feast , Luye High Terrace, Taroko National Park, Beitou Hot Spring Parade, visits to Formosa Plastics Museum, National Sports Center, etc.. More than that, they will visit Overseas Youth Vocational Training Program(OCAC) to learn more about Taiwan excellent technical training courses. The whole itinerary is expected to be fascinating.
Additionally, it also includes Taiwan festival folk activities such as rubbing glutinous rice balls on the winter solstice, New Taipei City's Happy Christmas City and the tea ceremony experience of Taiwanese tea masters, and other itineraries. All the activities are exciting and fulfilling. The purpose of this visit is to let overseas youths learn about Taiwan, promote exchanges between young people at home and abroad, feel the beauty of Taiwan's scenery and humanities, leave good memories and impressions, and achieve the goal of expanding international exchanges between young people and strengthening the bond of overseas young people.
