In 2021 COVID-19 has hit Vietnam hard. Since May, the epidemic has spread with confirmed cases continue to increase.  Emergency medical supplies and daily essentials are needed in many areas. With the enthusiastic support of association members, advisers, Taiwanese entrepreneurs, MAGICTEX chairman Chen Kuo-chin, car teams and people from different countries, President Sam Chen of The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam – Junior Chapter (CTCVNJC,) recently led a team to transport and distribute supplies to people in need to help Vietnam fight the pandemic.
The CTCVNJC also organized an epidemic support group, with association officials in various parts of Vietnam providing essential medicine packs, emergency rescue contact and various information to compatriots from Taiwan. Daily necessities such as rice, eggs, milk, instant noodle, protective gowns and facemasks have been donated to residents in lockdown in Tan Uyen, Thu Dau Mot Criminal Police Bureau, KCN Song than Industrial Park Criminal Police Bureau, Becamex Mobile Cabin Hospital, Center for Disease Control (CDC), Tỉnh Bình Dương Di An People's Committee, two hospitals, Di An and Yen Binh, in Tỉnh Bình Dương and people in the areas under lockdown. The hope is to provide the maximum assistance in a limited range of movement.
Despite the difficulties caused by lockdown policy, the CTCVNJC has exerted its utmost efforts to help Vietnam fight the COVID-19 pandemic. All the members of the CTCVNJC and Taiwanese community have offered time and money to help.  The action signifies that Taiwan and Vietnam are fighting COCID-19 together. It is everyone's hope that the pandemic will end  and life return to normal soon.
