Indonesia Taiwan Chamber of Commerce-Junior Chapter holds overseas compatriot affairs discussion meeting and introduces the Overseas Compatriot Service Handbook

The 5th Indonesia Taiwan Chambers of Commerce-Junior Chapter (ITCCJC) held it's 2nd members banquet using combined physical and virtual methods on December 5, 2021. The event was hosted by president Will Yang and attended by Taiwan's official representative to Indonesia Jack Hsiao, OCAC Division chief John Wong and secretary Jone Hsu, Indonesia Taiwan Chambers of Commerce (ITCC) president Andy Wang, ITCCJC chief consultant Richard Tseng, Johnson Chang, Taffy Chang, Jakarta Taiwan Entrepreneur Association president Chin Chia Sheng, Jakarta Taiwan Alumni Association president Tjendera Limin, vice-president Afandy, Youth Department director Aditya Adinugraha and young entrepreneurs from Jakarta, Bandung, Cirebon and other places. 

A discussion meeting was arranged the same day. John Wong said that Indonesia performed well in various competitions this year, for example the Global Young Entrepreneur Star of Tomorrow in which Will Yang won an award; Richard Tseng was named one of the 4th Overseas Top 10 Outstanding Youth; Mukura Ceramics won a Gold Award in the first Overseas Taiwan Prime awards; Jakarta Taipei School won the overseas compatriot school beginner's category in the Global Overseas Compatriot School Student Mandarin Speaking Competition; It is hoped that this good performance continues next year, he said. John Wong also presented a certificate of appreciation from the OCAC in thanks for the Junior Chapter's organizing of ROC Taiwan National Day activities, bringing young entrepreneurs together behind the ROC, Taiwan. 

Jone Hsu introduced the OCAC Overseas Compatriot Service Handbook in detail, including determination of overseas compatriot identity, settling in Taiwan and applying for household registration, military service for overseas compatriots, social insurance and returning to Taiwan to exercise the right to vote. This e-book is available on the Taipei Economic and Trade Office, Jakarta webpage for convenient reading. He also introduced the relief scheme of the Taiwan Overseas Credit Gaurentee Fund, Eucare APP and other service schemes for overseas compatriot and Taiwanese entrepreneurs and explained the latest regulations on overseas compatriot household registration in Taiwan.

Outstanding Taiwan alumni were also invited to talk about investing and doing business in Indonesia, with Tjendera Limin and Ferry T. Iskandar talking about the way of doing business in Indonesia and investment and business opportunities in Central Java, sharing their experience in-depth and analyzing the current investment environment. The atmosphere was lively.
