Junior Chamber International (JCI) Taiwan president elect Huang Hsin-hao and OCAC Associate Adviser Alexander Wu and his team visited the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) on December 1, 2021 where they were personally received by OCAC Minister Tung Chen-yuan. During the meeting, the direction of Junior Chamber International's plan and young entrepreneur development policy were discussed.

Tung Chen-yuan said that the OCAC attaches great importance to the development of young entrepreneurs and that nurturing overseas community leadership talent and activating overseas compatriot inheritance capability are also key OCAC work. This year the OCAC held the Global Young Entrepreneur Star of Tomorrow competition for the first time to give young entrepreneurs around the world an opportunity to display their business development and, moreover, through this, allow them to receive consulting and guidance from experts and consultants and enterprise mentors from Taiwan.

With the aim of promoting cooperation and exchange between overseas and domestic young entrepreneurs, the OCAC jointly held the Overseas and Domestic Young Entrepreneur Exchange Meeting with the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter (WTCC-JC) and The Third Wednesday Club-Young Entrepreneur Group last year to enhance exchange and sharing and cooperation between young entrepreneurs overseas and in Taiwan and allow overseas young entrepreneurs to be guides and partners for domestic young entrepreneurs with their local capability when the latter venture overseas.

Huang Hsin-hao explained that the JCI is made up of people aged 18-40 who are keen to promote young entrepreneur activities, community service and international and commercial cooperation. It has held various international exchange activities in recent years.

During the opinion exchange period, Alexander Wu reported on the JCI's plan for next year and shared related cooperation matters stemming from the MOU signed with the WTCC-JC. The two sides discussed business opportunities for young entrepreneur cooperation and policy. It is hoped that, through this visit, there will be more exchange with the OCAC in future to expand international vision and jointly promote citizens' diplomacy.
