The Thailand Youth Cross-area Exchange Meeting was held on December 18, 2021. That Exchange Meeting was organized jointly by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Thailand and the Thai – Taiwan Business Association Youth League (TTBAY). Overseas Compatriot Division of the TECO in Thailand Deputy Director Chen Chao-feng attended and paid his respects. Main speaker Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Jaiyos Advisory Co., Ltd Manager Hung Yi-wen gave a talk on "Tax essentials for post-pandemic recovery". The event was attended by around 70 people including TTBAY President Wendy Chi, TTBA Vice President Terry Lee Huang and Joint Foreign Chambers of Commence in Thailand (JFCCT) Chairman Stanley Kang.
Hung Yi-wen talked in detail about aspects of tax affairs that should be paid attention to when doing business in Thailand, legal accounting and investment counselling, allowing listeners to understand that the way to successfully doing business in Thailand is doing the proper planning, attaching importance to the effect of transaction tax on company profit and knowing that tax compliance can help an enterprise to activate cashflow.
TTBAY has been established since 2010, with the efforts of officials past and present. TTBAY has worked to promote youth entrepreneur exchange in Thailand. It often holds various activities to nurture the trade and economic, tax affairs and other skills and knowledge of young entrepreneurs; it also pays back Thai society with real actions such as by donating medical supplies, oxygen machines and blood, fully bringing into play the charitable spirit of Thailand-based young entrepreneurs from Taiwan and raising Taiwan's international profile.
Chen Chao-feng thanked the TTBAY and its members for their long-term support for overseas compatriot affairs. He also expressed the hope that in future young overseas compatriots continue moving forward with passion and exhorted everyone to maintain a conscientious and determined attitude and to seek professional knowledge when difficulties are encountered to continue to open new frontiers for their business.
