The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam Junior Chapter (CTCCVJC) held The 7th General Meeting and 8th President, Directors and Supervisors Elections on December 16th, 2022, whereby a total of 200 guests attended upon invitation, including the Director General Han Kuo-Yao of TECO in Ho Chi Minh, Ambassador-At-Large Lin Chia-Lung, Legislator Chen Ying, representatives of Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and members of the Junior Chapter.

Director General Han Kuo-Yao recognized, in his speech, the youth businesses' enthusiasm for service and was happy to see the succession of the next generation, he also said he was confident that under the new President's leadership, the Junior Chapter will strive in the future, provide better services for its members, and Chapter affairs would steadily grow. Director General Han also expressed wishes for the Junior Chapter to continue consolidation of member's solidarity, and if possible, further give back to the local society in Vietnam. He also expressed hopes for youth businesses to influence the mainstream society, voice out for Taiwan, and become a platform for exchange between Taiwan and Vietnam.

President Chen Jing-Hsuan hosted this event, in which he not only reported on Chapter operations and financial status, but also talked about recent youth business developments resulting from the increase in Junior Chapter member numbers. He concluded with appreciations to the Junior Chapter members for their long term support and also to the whole board of Directors and Supervisors for their contributions, stating it was because of them that Chapter operations could grow successfully. He hoped that in the future, all members would continue their support, as they have in the past, for the new Chapter team. After President Chen Jing-Hsuan's reports, the 8th President Lin Yang-Yi and Chief Supervisor Chang Tse were elected.

The Youth Business seminar invited Ms. Ying-zhou Chen from Deloitte & Touche to speak on the topic of "Implementing Corporate ESG Strategies to Achieve Sustainable Net-Zero Carbon Emissions". Over the recent years, due to the threat brought forth by extreme climates, the goal for sustainability has rapidly changed from ESG risk management to corporate resilience and transformation adaptability, with reaching "Net Zero Emissions" becoming the focus of global discussions. The Deloitte & Touche Sustainability Consulting Team picked out 2022 sustainability and net-zero key points with respect to four major areas of "climate governance and low-carbon transformation", "sustainable supply chain", "sustainable organization and talent", and "sustainable finance", hoping these key points will help companies gain better insight into global trends and understand better the market's pulse, in turn strengthen their role in developing in the low-carbo era and grasp opportunities of the current age.

A dinner banquet was held after the seminar, where Taiwanese business people and youth businesses in Vietnam took the opportunity to connect and interact. The event was warm and cordial with the elections successfully concluded, and also with hope that the Junior Chapter would transform and grow under the new leadership.
