Sophia Huang was born and raised in a Christian family in Zhushan Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. She received her Bachelor degree of Education with major in Civic Education and Leadership from National Taiwan Normal University. In fall of 2010, Sophia moved to Chicago to pursue her advanced studies at University of Illinois Chicago where she earned a Master degree of Business Administration.
After 7 years of working as a Marketing Director at Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc., she started her own firm, Eternity Wealth Advisors, LLC, with a business partner, Ervine Huang. Sophia specializes in global asset allocation, retirement planning, US & Asian life insurance planning, estate planning, and more. Combining Ervine's expertise, they have over 20 years of work experiences in the financial industry and are able to provide complete solution including blended tax impact, investment strategy, and risk management. In addition, both Sophia and Ervine have conducted many financial education seminars/webinars in the communities. They have earned a great reputation amongst from their clients and friends globally. In fact, Eternity Wealth Advisors, LLC won the Young Entrepreneur Star Selection Award from OCAC in April, 2021.
Sophia married her best friend Kuo, Cheng-yung in 2014. They met through a volunteer project at the 24th TCCNA annual conference in Chicago in 2012. Cheng-yung was the President of the 12th TJCCNA. Sophia and Cheng-yung helped to inspire local young professionals in Detroit to re-establish their junior chapter in 2016 as well as assisting with the rebuilding of the New York junior chapter in 2017. They also work closely with Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago (TECO) to help organize events for the Taiwanese community in Chicago, North America, and worldwide.
Sophia is very active in all levels of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Junior Chapters. From local Chicago to nationwide North America and the World chapter, she has held many different leadership positions before president, including advisor, committee chair, secretary general, and chief supervisor.
Cheng-yung was the one who inspired Sophia to start her involvement in the community works and profession in financial planning. She was a supporting spouse of her husband's financial planning business, but 5 years ago, Sophia lost her beloved husband Cheng-yung in a car accident. The tragic incident made Sophia believe more in the importance of family protection provided by dedicated life insurance plans- that only help complete a family asset portfolio of tax and risk management, but also protect a family from financial burdens when facing any sudden losses. Sophia said, 'Although what happened to us is a tragedy, I am still grateful for whatever and whoever has supported us along the journey.' She has a firm belief of 'No Family Left Behind' which empowers her to serve and help more individuals and families with a comprehensive financial structure.
The World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce family has played an important supporting role in Sophia's life especially after the passing of her husband, Cheng-yung. She feels that it is her duty to give back to the community and those who were there for her during the difficult times. With her 10 years of experience in the chamber along her strong determination, she won the 12th WTCCJC Presidential election in September, 2021.
Since then, Sophia has been a servant leader who interacts closely with the organization's members. Her main goal is to "forge a stronger network of WTCCJC members, expand the WTCCJC brand image, and make members proud".
Sophia seizes all opportunities to knit a stronger bond among all WTCCJC members. She also welcomes all overseas Taiwanese young people who haven’t joined to participate in the organization, and together help the world to get know Taiwan better through WTCCJC!
