Overseas compatriot education is the foundation of overseas community affairs. It not only promotes language and cultural studies, but also serves as an integral part of the OCAC's policy goals. The OCAC has dedicated to overseas compatriot education for decades, and continues to advance the education and meet the needs of both teachers and students. The OCAC endeavors to subsidize these schools, and to promote Taiwan's diverse cultures and cultivate younger generations abroad.

Overseas compatriot community leaders in various regions have established local schools to disseminate the culture of our homeland. As of the beginning of 2023, there were 1,029 overseas compatriot schools (41.98% in Asia, 45.68% in the Americas, 6.51% in Europe and less than 5.83% in other areas) and around 50 overseas compatriot school asscociatons affiliated with Taiwan worldwide. These schools and related associations have been successfully introducing Taiwan's excellent Mandarin teaching system and its diverse cultures to the world. It is amazing that they have gained a substantial market share of the mainstream education.

In light of the existing accomplishments and the global Mandarin learning craze, the OCAC will continue to train language and folk culture teachers as well as recruit young volunteers and college students to support overseas compatriot schools and strengthen their operations.

In addition, the OCAC will continue to develop diverse teaching materials and optimize the content of the e-learning website "Huayuworld.org". The OCAC will also provide online learning and digital teaching services to elevate e-learning to a new level. In accordance with the overall national policy, the OCAC will actively implement the e-learning portal to promote and preserve traditional characters through "Huayuworld.org".

Moreover, the OCAC will continue to support iconic festival events in overseas communities, sedning cultural delegations to enrich performing programs, and holds training programs and online courses for cultural seed teachers to further hone their teaching skills, promote Taiwanese cultures around the world and nurture young talents.
