As one of the fundamental policies stated in R.O.C.(Taiwan)'s constitution, our government has always been committed to promoting the common welfare and benefits of overseas compatriots. Our overseas compatriots around the world have always been regarded as a key driving force for our nation's globalization, making them one of the most valuable overseas assets of R.O.C.(Taiwan). With the aim of supporting and interacting with our overseas compatriots, who recognize R.O.C. (Taiwan) and support liberal Taiwan, our government has established 4 branch offices in Australia to provide services tailored to their needs, so that they can benefit from the many advantages both Australia and Taiwan offer.
Secretary of Overseas Compatriot Affairs of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Melbourne, Australia, as OCAC's representative in Melbourne, was inaugurated with the purpose of facilitating and strengthening the interaction and connection between OCAC and overseas compatriots in Australia. Through the liaison and services of the OCAC, overseas compatriots in Melbourne can feel the warmth of their homeland.
