Organized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), Taiwan, R.O.C. and co-organized by the Chinese e-Learning Center, National Open University (NOU, Taiwan), the Language Study Program for Compatriot Youth (Distance Learning) provides Vietnamese youth a platform to learn Mandarin for free during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the world is currently affected by the COVID-19, OCAC hopes that through the online Language Study Program, students from Vietnam will still have the opportunity to keep learning Mandarin and Taiwanese culture despite the time difference and distance. Through the rich curriculums, students will also have a chance to know the culture and the stories in Taiwan.

The co-organizer, Chinese e-Learning Center of National Open University, established in 2017 and supported by NOU's extensive experiences and expertise in digital instruction, distance learning and media production, offers this high-quality program with professional and experienced teachers and assistants to facilitate learning throughout the course, including technological or language issues.

The 3-week program, from June 27 to July 15 2022, contains a 30-hour synchronous online Mandarin Chinese language course and subject-based learning lectures such as singing, microfilming (voice acting), and Taiwanese storytelling.

The registration is now open for the FREE program fully covered by OCAC, for the interested Vietnamese youth between 12-24 of age. Please send the application form via post, email, or hand in the form at the TECO in Vietnam or TECO in Ho Chi Minh City.

Please visit OCAC's website on https://www.ocac.gov.tw/OCAC/Eng/, CeLC's website https://celc.nou.edu.tw/, and contact our overseas representative offices or culture centers for further details.
