Taiwan records 12 new domestic COVID-19 cases, zero deaths

Taipei, July 25 (CNA) Taiwan on Sunday reported 12 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections and one imported case, as well as zero deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

All of the 12 domestic cases were reported in the Greater Taipei area, including seven in Taipei and five in New Taipei.

The new cases bring the total in the country to 15,571, of which 14,098 are domestic infections reported since May 15, when Taiwan first recorded more than 100 COVID-19 cases in a single day.

To date, 786 people have died of COVID-19 in Taiwan, including 774 since May 15.
