Videography, photography, and video editing are important skills in the modern world. At Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors in the San Francisco Bay Area (FASCA SFBA), these skills are nurtured at all events, where members of the video team are encouraged to help document what happens through various types of media.

On August 13th, FASCA SFBA hosted the workshop for the video team at the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Offices (CC of TECO) in San Francisco (Milpitas). CC of TECO in SF(Milpitas) Director Sophia Chuang and Deputy Director Kuang Mei Hsu were both present, alongside FASCA SFBA Advisors Sandra Su, Lily Lee, and Katy Wu. Advisor Su, who is in charge of the video team at FASCA SFBA, was very excited at the excellent turnout for the workshop, with over thirty new and returning participants.

After FASCA SFBA Vice President Anderson Mao taught the basics of a free software for members to edit with, Vice President Jonathan Chen highlighted some important photography and interview tips and tricks for members to use. Their lessons were followed by an hour of time for workshop attendees to shoot and edit their video introducing what FASCA SFBA does. Attendees were given an additional incentive that there would be a prize for members that made the best videos.

There were many creative approaches to how to introduce FASCA SFBA. Still, the video which definitely got the most giggles at the final showcase was the one that current FASCA SFBA President Daniel Tsai and past President Emma Wang shot for fun! Members who attended the three-hour workshop got to meet new friends and laughter was heard throughout the halls while everyone was filming their content in TECO. Hopefully, FASCA SFBA will have more workshops like this in the future!
