Taiwan is a country with advanced tropical agricultural technology, possessing strong technical capability. It not only has agriculture, fishing and animal husbandry related technology to help overseas compatriot entrepreneurs upgrade; it also has advanced technology for agricultural environmental governance, ecology protection, agricultural product processing and smart technology etc.; as well as tourism agriculture, big health industry and biomass energy industries that can help overseas compatriot entrepreneurs around the world move to a new stage.

To assist global overseas compatriot entrepreneurs engaging in agriculture related operations, in cooperation with the Agricultural Technology Research Institute and the Agricultural Bank of Taiwan (Agribank), the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) launched the Global Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneur Agricultural Service Program on August 6, 2020. It provides technical consulting, talent nurturing and industry linkage to assist with the development of the overseas compatriot agriculture industry globally as well as promoting the export of Taiwan's related agricultural equipment and related materials and equipment and linking with the global agriculture industry and product market. The four aims are to help global overseas compatriot agriculture enterprises grow strong and develop sustainably, assist them implement a global strategy, assist the export of equipment, facilities, and materials from Taiwan into the world market, and help overseas compatriot entrepreneurs return to invest in Taiwanese agriculture. 

The Global Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneur Agricultural Service Program includes three highlight services, namely, the Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology Service Platform, Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology LINE App Service and Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology Service Handbook. The Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology Service Platform provides global overseas compatriot entrepreneurs with fast and convenient agricultural technical services; the focal points include: consulting about agricultural technology and related equipment, facilities and materials use; commissioned agricultural technology application, R&D and experimental research, agricultural enterprise incubation and operating guidance, agricultural enterprise production technology and operation management talent training and agricultural equipment, facility and related materials product and sale. The Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology LINE App Service (LINE ID:@tw.agritech) has also been established, providing professional one-on-one consulting for overseas compatriot entrepreneurs globally; The Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology Service Handbook is also available on the website and can be downloaded at any time. Also, Agribank will provide a matching service for investment and entrepreneurship loans, assisting overseas compatriot enterprises to return to invest in Taiwan, assisting young farmers and agricultural enterprises implement an overseas investment strategy. 

The Global Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneur Agricultural Service Program has been posted in the OCAC's Overseas Compatriot Entrepreneur Service Special Area (https://Business.Taiwan-World.Net) and the Agricultural Technology Research Institute's Global Overseas Compatriot Agricultural Technology Service Platform (https://www.atri.org.tw/tw_agritech). Overseas compatriot entrepreneurs are invited to download and make good use of the Program, and to share it.
