The program will be held from July 6th to August 2nd, 2024.
ACTIVITY CONTENTS
1.First week(from July 6 to July 12):
English training skill enhancement.
Volunteers could arrive at Taiwan on July 6th, the China Youth Corps will arrange the pickup service and accommodation. The teaching skills training will be held at Chientan Activity Center in Taipei in the 1st week of the program.
2.Second and Third week(from July 13to July 26):
Each participant will teach English at a junior high school or elementary school somewhere in Taiwan (Teaching time will be 8 hours a day Monday to Friday).
On the 2nd and 3rd week, there will be 2-week school service. The school where you are assigned will provide the board and accommodation. We will release the distribution results before June.
3.5-day:
Taiwan cultural visits(from July 27to July 31).
On the 4th week, there will be a Formosa cultural visits. The schedule will be arranged by the China Youth Corps.
4.Harvest Performance(August 1).
5.Drop-off(August 2).

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
1.This program is international volunteer service not a pleasure visit. During the teaching service period, the school to which you are allocated may be remote or lack teaching resources and the living environment may be of a lower level than in the city. We hope volunteers can have an in-depth experience and merge into local life through teaching service and hope they can establish a correct understanding of volunteer service.
2.The OCAC reserves the right to review, admit and allocate volunteers; after an admitted volunteer is allocated to a school, no request for change of school will be accepted.
3.All those enrolled and taking part in service must complete English teaching program service unless this is prevented by health reasons or force majeure. Those who complete the full 3-week program and who have not violated the rules of the undertaking unit or the school where they volunteered will be given an 80-hour English-Chinese service certificate.
